Jane Green graduated in architecture from Sheffield University and worked for BDP Manchester before travelling in North America, Mexico, and Japan. She worked in Toronto, Canada.  On returning to England she worked for ACP. and then Brewer Smith and Brewer. Subsequently she taught at Bath University for two years.

On joining Gerald Murphy, Burles, Newton and Partners she worked up through the ranks to partnership level, before setting up her own architectural practice: Lind Associates. She practiced under the name of Jane Lind and had many prestigious clients such as The Crown Estate, The Church Commissioners, Horizon Housing and Rydon Construction.

In 1999 she undertook the course in Conservation of Historic Buildings at the Architectural Association. The latter expertise was invaluable in dealing with Nash Terraces, Regents Park, Exminster Church, Bow and Brunel’s Pumping House, Starcross.
